Christ drank the dregs of sin when He was made sin on our behalf, that we might be made His righteousness.  We celebrate the resurrection of Our Lord on Easter Sunday; however every resurrection has to be proceeded by darkness and death.  We, with Christ emerge from the darkness of the grave and despair of Good Friday to bask in the radiance of the Resurrection and rejoice in the victory of our mighty King, who vanquished sin and death forever. ”With shouts of “Alleluia, Christ is risen!” we herald the pivotal moment of human history, for which all of Scripture was a preamble, the moment in which time and eternity collided. With choirs of angels we glimpse the grand extravagance of God’s grace.” And with St. Peter we can say, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By His great mercy He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter. 1:3).

Christ, Our Life Ministries blesses you all on this most blessed day.

Sylvia Pearce - As a young Christian she was privileged to be mentored by Norman Grubb. For twenty-five years she knew him as friend and traveling companion. For years she has been driven by the Spirit to know for herself and teach to others, the liberating secret that has personally set her free. Prior to her liberation she lived in the bondage of self-hatred and deep insecurities. Because she has found the “Pearl of Great Price,” for herself, she lives to help others know these same liberating truths.

This is part 1 of a 14 part series on Romans 5-8
